World Literacy Day (Tue, Sep 08, 2009)

•    World Literacy Day is Sept. 8.  This is a great time to start or promote a literacy project.

•    Prepare your 990’s for your Club’s Foundation

•    ASTRA Club sponsor information form due to International

•    Grant Applications are due to the International Foundation by Sept. 15

•    Send your pre-Make A Difference Day Report to International by Sept. 30 (See Forms link)

Grant Applications are due to the International Foundation by September 15, 2009.

Governor Nancy received the following message with the request that it be posted to the District Two web site:

Dear District Governors,

The Request for Proposal (RFP) for the rebranding effort is now on the Altrusa website!  We are very excited to be on the way to fulfilling the wishes of the membership.

We have one request to ask of you.  Could you ask your District webmaster to put a link on your District webpage to the RFP page- http://www.altrusa.com/BrandingRFP.aspx , along with a message to your members asking them to send the RFP link to marketing/PR agencies in their community?  You will notice that the deadline is not too far down the road - Letter of Intent is due October 30 - so this addition to your webpage would need to happen quickly.  We want to give interested agencies in every Altrusa community an opportunity to submit a proposal.  Putting a link on your website will help get the word out.
